Fond du Lac Family YMCA offers free nutrition seminar on cooking for one or two

The Fond du Lac Family YMCA aims to improve the communities’ health and well-being by providing programs and activities that promote wellness, reduce risk for disease and help others reclaim their health. These programs and everything else the Y does are in service of making us—our Y and our communities—better. The result is a community that values health and supports healthy choices.

Because we know that healthy lifestyles are achieved through nurturing mind, body and spirit, well-being and fitness at the Y goes beyond just working out. In addition to fitness facilities, we provide educational programs to promote healthier decisions, and offer a variety of programs that support physical, intellectual and spiritual strength.

Sometimes, it can be hard to get motivated when cooking a meal for just one or two people. It is possible, however, to eat fresh, home-cooked meals, even if you live alone or with one other person.  Join us for some tips and tricks to get you started.  The July Nutrition Workshop, “Cooking for One or Two,” will take place on July 16 at 5:30 pm and July 17 at 11:15 am, in the Y Board Room.  Space is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.  Registration is appreciated.

Join MJ Neumann, Fond du Lac Family YMCA Healthy Living Director, for free monthly nutrition workshops, focused on a health topic, offered the 3rd week of each month.  Sessions take place on Mondays from 5:30-6:15 pm and on Tuesdays from 11:15 am-12:00 pm.  The workshops, in partnership with FreshFit Meals, are free and open to both Y members and the community.
