The Fond du Lac Family YMCA is hiring a Membership Specialists to assist with memberships including registration for programs. Deliver excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants. Responds to member and guest needs, promotes memberships and programs.
Wage Scale: $8.00 - $8.50 per hour
Hours per Week: 10 - 17 hours per week
Work Days: Tuesday 12 pm – 4:30 pm; Friday 5:30 pm – 10:00 pm; every other Saturday either 8:00 am – 2:00 pm or 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Requirements: Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. The Fond du Lac Family YMCA is looking for 2-3 dedicated new staff members to clean and sanitize assigned areas of the Y, including such duties as mopping, dusting, and trash removal. These positions may complete duties related to window washing, meeting set up, pool cleaning, snow removal, grounds keeping, and other related responsibilities.
Wage Scale: $8.00 - $8.50 per hour

The Fond du Lac Family YMCA is seeking a motivated and outgoing individual to create a positive member and employment experience at the Y. Our coaches inspire and enable gymnasts to achieve their greatest potential, developing skills and techniques to succeed in and outside the gym. This is accomplished through effective leadership skills and safe spotting and instruction of gymnastics skills during practices. Due to the instructional nature of the position the Coach must actively lead and demonstrate all the skills.
Wage Scale: $9.00 per hour, plus Free single Y membership
Work Days: Hours vary Monday – Saturday, plus travel locally and state-wide to attend gymnastics meets.
Requirements: One year experience in gymnastics or related teaching experience required, to include knowledge of gymnastics terms and skills and the ability to break skills down to a teachable level. Experience and knowledge of progressive and Level 1-Xcel gymnastics. Demonstrated experience in safely teaching and spotting complex skills or a combination of skills as performed in competition. Experience competing or coaching in a competitive environment is helpful. A thorough understanding of the USAG policies and procedures is preferred. Requires significant use of hands, arms, and body, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 pounds to set up and put away equipment and safely spot participants. Must be able to easily move through all program areas and effectively communicate and actively interact with customers. These individuals must demonstrate enthusiasm toward students and willingness to provide excellent customer service. Our instructors are responsible for implementing gymnastic lesson plans and curriculum and providing supervision to participants.
Wage Scale: $7.25 per hour, plus Free single Y membership
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – 4-5pm, Wednesday 4-7pm, Saturday 9-11am
Requirements: One year gymnastics and /or related experience is required. Must possess knowledge of basic gymnastics terms and skills as well as the ability to break skills down to a teachable level. Positive attitude, strong leadership, creativity, and communication skills are essential. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical activities which require considerable use of arms and legs while moving entire body over a period of time. Instructors should be at least 14 years of age. Must be able to easily move through all program areas and effectively communicate and actively interact with customers. Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills and the ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds.
Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety of the aquatic facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies and enforcing the rules.
Wage Scale: $7.25 - $9.00 per hour
Hours per Week: Varies. Early morning and daytime hours are available.

Requirements: Current in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid certification and American Red Cross Lifeguard certification. American Red Cross WSI certification is strongly recommended
The Personal Trainer will provide guidance and leadership to all members and community participants seeking assistance with personalized fitness programming. The Personal Trainer will develop and monitor specialized fitness programs, including cardiovascular exercise, strength training and flexibility.
Wage Scale: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
Hours per Week: 5 - 20 hours per week
Work Days: Flexible work schedule based on client needs. Early mornings and afternoon availability is desired.
Requirements: National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), American Council of Exercise (ACE), ACSM – American Council of Sports Medicine, or currently in school for Kinesiology or related field.
Water Aerobics Instructor
The Fitness Instructor is responsible for planning class sessions, supervising class participants, helping to train new instructors, and providing the YMCA membership with a fun quality fitness class.
Wage Scale: $8.00 - $9.00 per hour
Hours per Week: 4 - 8 hours per week
Work Days: Varies
Requirements: Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. No certification required. Some experience required.
