YMCA Preschool Enrichment classes provide knowledge, character development, guidance and encouragement to help youth develop and realize their potential. Younger children participate with a parent, while older children take classes on their own. (A perfect time for mom to join a free group exercise class!).

PARENT/CHILD GYMNASTICS CLASS
LET’S GET ROLLING (Ages 18 months to 3 years old)
Children learn by seeing, hearing, touching, doing, and having fun. The parent participates with the child in climbing, jumping, and balancing. Coordination is learned and developed through fun, active activities. Learning to follow simple directions is emphasized. Classes are 40 minutes.
Parent/child classes (Ages 2-3)
30-minute classes designed to enhance parallel playtime and introduce interaction with other children. Parents are expected to be active participants in class, guiding their child in the activities and explorations. Due to the nature of these parent and child classes, we do not allow siblings to tag along in class unless they are within the age group and are registered participants. Must be appropriate age at the time the class begins.
DRIBBLE AND SCRIBBLE
You and your child will enjoy making a “masterpiece” each week using art, food, and fun! Creativity will flow freely while leaving the mess at the Y!
WIGGLE AND GIGGLE
Meet new play pals while exploring, running, jumping, and playing. Class includes an opening circle time, gross motor activities, and a closing circle time.
Classes without parent (Ages 3-1/2 - 6)
Child needs to be fully toilet-trained. 45-minute classes are designed to help children learn to follow directions, play cooperatively, and enhance social skills. It is recommended that these children have had some prior experience in group settings or First Gym classes, and are ready to be apart from their parents.
Children will have a chance to explore their creative side in this fun-filled class. Each week your child will enjoy creating a “masterpiece” using art, food and fun. Let the adventure begin!
Do you have a little chef who always wants to help? This class is filled with simple cooking activities. Children will make tasty treats while learning basic cooking skills and table manners. Children with food allergies should contact the program coordinator prior to class.
Calling all Jr. Scientists to the YMCA Laboratory! We will discover and explore the world around us in a fun and exciting way with hands on experiments and sensory explorations.
Get your child’s heart pumping and body moving. A wide variety of sports and large motor activities will help your child develop strength, coordination, agility, and timing while meeting new pals!
