On Saturday, January 4th, the community is invited to try free group fitness and small group training classes, led by certified instructors and personal trainers, during the Fond du Lac Family YMCA’s fitness class launch event, “Celebration Saturday”. The fitness event begins at 6:00 am and will offer free group fitness classes until 12:00 pm. Refreshments will be available for class participants and prize drawings will take place in each class.
Y members and community participants are invited to stop in at the Y, located at 90 W. Second Street, to sample the wide variety of land fitness, small group training, and virtual fitness classes the Y has to offer, located in the Y’s four state-of-the-art fitness studios. The schedule of classes available during Celebration Saturday is located on the Y’s website at fdlymca.org. Registration is not required for the classes and space is limited, available on a first come basis. If you are interested in a facility tour during Celebration Saturday, they are available by request. Try the Y and then join, taking advantage of the $0 joiner fee promotion, running through January 5, 2020.
Free Child Watch for children ages 6 months to 8 years old will be available during Celebration Saturday, from 7:00 am – 12:00 pm, for both Y members and community members attending the event. Virtual classes for kids as well as live instructor-led family classes are scheduled in the Community Gym beginning at 9:30 am. Children age 7 and under will need adult supervision to take the virtual classes and family classes, or they can be checked into Child Watch and staff will accompany them in the classes.
