JJ Raflik named Executive Director/CEO at Fond du Lac Family YMCA

The Fond du Lac Family YMCA announced today that JJ Raflik has been officially named as Executive Director/CEO, effective Saturday, March 30, 2019.  Selected by the Fond du Lac Family YMCA Board of Directors, Raflik, who was serving as acting Executive Director/CEO, will succeed Greg Giles, who recently resigned from his position as Executive Director/CEO, to accept the position of Chief Advancement Officer for the YMCA of Greater Houston.

“The community is very fortunate to have a person of JJ’s caliber and integrity prepared to take the Y to the next level.  JJ is highly respected not only by the Board of Directors, but also by Y employees and community members.  The board has the utmost confidence in JJ to carry on the mission of the Fond du Lac Family YMCA,” said Mike Hierl, Fond du Lac Family YMCA Board President.

Raflik is in his 17th year with the Fond du Lac Family YMCA, having advanced through a series of positions with increasing responsibility.  Raflik began at the Y in 2001 in Youth Sports, was promoted to Youth and Family Coordinator in 2004, Youth Sports Director in 2005, Senior Program Director in 2009, Director of Program Development in 2013, Associate Executive Director in 2016, and recently was named acting Executive Director/CEO.  In his time, Raflik has overseen growth in several areas including programs, membership, and community collaboration efforts.  Raflik currently serves on several committees, boards and service clubs, some of which include Noon Kiwanis, Girls on the Run, and a state-wide YMCA Professional Network Board of Directors.

“I am deeply humbled and honored to be entrusted with leading our Y moving forward.  We are losing a great community visionary and leader in Greg, but we are grateful for the work he has done and the strong position he has put the Y in.  We have a tremendous staff, board of directors, and numerous community partners, and they are all large reasons for the success of the Y.   It is because of this great support that I am confident the Y will continue to be an asset the community can be proud of,” said Raflik.

A native of Lomira, Raflik earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, majoring in Recreation Management from Marian College in 2003.  He resides in Fond du Lac with his wife and two daughters.
