
To support the safety of our youth programs and our facility, a Youth Program Spectator Verification process is required for all individuals, both members and non-members, who enter the facility during a youth program.
If you accompany a youth program participant into the facility, you must complete spectator check-in prior to entering.
Who Must Check In?
Youth Program Spectator Definition & Check-In
A youth program spectator is any person, member or non-member, who accompanies a youth program participant into the facility. All spectators must check in at the Welcome Desk before entering the facility.
This applies to:
- Parents
- Guardians
- Grandparents
- Family members
- Friends
- Carpool drivers
- Any other adult or youth (age 8+) entering in the facility
All non-member spectators must be verified before checking in with a PIN number each time they enter the facility during programs. All members (age 8+) must scan in with their Y phone app or member key card.
Which Spectator Are You?
MEMBER (Age 8+)
- Scan in using your Y App or member key card
- Must check in prior to entering the facility
NON-MEMBER (In Participant Household)
Must be added to the participant’s household non-member account
- Present valid photo ID for verification (age 16+) before entering facility
- Complete spectator verification at the Welcome Center Desk prior to entry
- Receive and use an individual PIN for facility access (age 8+)
- Check in to enter the facility during programs using assigned PIN (number is valid the duration of the program session
NON-MEMBER (Not in Participant Household)
Must create a non-member account
- Present valid photo ID (age 16+) before entering facility
- Complete spectator verification at the Welcome Center Desk prior to entry
- Receive and use an individual PIN for facility access (age 8+)
- Check in to enter the facility during programs using assigned PIN (number is valid the duration of the program session)
Important Guidelines for non-members
- Spectator access is valid only during the participant’s scheduled program time.
- Spectators must use their own individual account or PIN. Sharing access is not permitted.
- Photo ID is required for first time verification for individuals age 16 and older.
- Spectators age 16 and older who do not complete verification will not be permitted to enter the facility.

Arriving a few extra minutes early on the first day of your program will allow time for verification and help avoid delays.
Visiting the Y before the first day of programs to complete the spectator verification process is recommended.
