Y to participate in YMCA Day of Giving March 3rd

The Fond du Lac Family YMCA is joining Y’s around the nation for YMCA Day of Giving, a one-day fundraising event on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 with a community goal of raising $10,000.  This will be the Fond du Lac Family YMCA’s first time participating in the nation-wide fundraising event.

YMCA Day of Giving is a great way to rally behind the important work being done daily at our Y.  Every dollar you donate to the Fond du Lac Family YMCA stays local and helps remove financial barriers to access and inclusion in our programs, membership and activities, stated J.J. Raflik, CEO/Executive Director, Fond du Lac Family YMCA.

This one-day philanthropic event will kick off the Y’s 2020 Annual Campaign.  With an annual campaign goal of $250,000, the donations from YMCA Day of Giving will contribute to reaching that goal, in addition to annual gifts from staff, board members and other generous donors in our community.

“Keeping the community strong and healthy is a full-time job. Every day, individuals in our community face new challenges, creating a greater need for the work we do, and we need help from the community in order to do it,” stated Katie McCormick, Director of Mission Advancement, Fond du Lac Family YMCA.  “YMCA Day of Giving helps to ensure that our YMCA remains an organization that is open to all members of our community.  It also helps us to meet critical community needs through our core focus areas of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

To contribute to YMCA Day of Giving, donate online at fdlymca.org or in person at the Y, 90 W. Second Street in Fond du Lac.  The Fond du Lac Family YMCA is a 501(c)3 (nonprofit) organization and donations are tax deductible. The Y is a cause-driven, nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through programs that promote youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, serving almost 12,000 individuals in the Fond du Lac area, with an average of 1,200 daily visits.
