Stay Safe Around Water
Fall Family Swim for Life Program, sponsored by Quad/Graphics
At the Y, we believe everyone should have the chance to learn how to stay safe around water. The Family Swim for Life Program can help your family learn essential water safety skills needed to be confident in and around water.
During this quality family time, important basic lessons are taught including floating, treading water and swim strokes.
Sessions for the Family Swim for Life Program will be offered four times annually.
The importance of the Family Swim for Life Program cannot be understated: Drowning can happen nearly anytime or anywhere there is standing water, and is the second leading cause of death for children between the ages of 5 and 14 years old.
