{"id":604,"date":"2020-02-18T16:39:15","date_gmt":"2020-02-18T22:39:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fdlymca.org\/blog\/?p=604"},"modified":"2024-05-13T12:51:30","modified_gmt":"2024-05-13T17:51:30","slug":"fond-du-lac-family-ymca-to-participate-in-ymca-day-of-giving-march-3rd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fdlymca.org\/blog\/2020\/02\/fond-du-lac-family-ymca-to-participate-in-ymca-day-of-giving-march-3rd\/","title":{"rendered":"Y to participate in YMCA Day of Giving March 3rd"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Fond du Lac Family YMCA is joining Y\u2019s around the nation for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fdlymca.org\/ymcadayofgiving.html\">YMCA Day of Giving<\/a><\/strong>, a one-day fundraising event on <strong>Tuesday, March 3, 2020<\/strong> with a community goal of raising $10,000.&nbsp; This will be the Fond du Lac Family YMCA\u2019s first time participating in the nation-wide fundraising event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>YMCA Day of Giving is a great way to\nrally behind the important work being done daily at our Y. &nbsp;<\/em><em>Every\ndollar you donate to the Fond du Lac Family YMCA stays local and&nbsp;helps\nremove financial barriers to access and inclusion in our programs, membership\nand activities,<\/em><em>\u201d <\/em>stated\nJ.J. Raflik, CEO\/Executive Director, Fond du Lac Family YMCA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This one-day philanthropic event will kick off the Y\u2019s <strong>2020 Annual Campaign<\/strong>.&nbsp; With an annual campaign goal of $250,000, the donations from <strong>YMCA Day of Giving<\/strong> will contribute to reaching that goal, in addition to annual gifts from staff, board members and other generous donors in our community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cKeeping the community strong and healthy is a full-time job. Every day, individuals in our community face new challenges, creating a greater need for the work we do, and we need help from the community in order to do it,\u201d <\/em>stated Katie McCormick, Director of Mission Advancement, Fond du Lac Family YMCA.&nbsp; \u201c<em><strong>YMCA Day of Giving<\/strong> helps to ensure that our YMCA remains an organization that is open to all members of our community.&nbsp; It also helps us to meet critical community needs through our core focus areas of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To contribute to YMCA Day of Giving, <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.givelively.org\/donate\/young-mens-christian-association-of-fond-du-lac\/ymca-day-of-giving\">donate online<\/a> at fdlymca.org or in person at the Y, 90 W.
