{"id":510,"date":"2019-03-22T12:44:23","date_gmt":"2019-03-22T17:44:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fdlymca.org\/blog\/?p=510"},"modified":"2024-05-13T15:08:43","modified_gmt":"2024-05-13T20:08:43","slug":"jj-raflik-named-executive-director-ceo-at-fond-du-lac-family-ymca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fdlymca.org\/blog\/2019\/03\/jj-raflik-named-executive-director-ceo-at-fond-du-lac-family-ymca\/","title":{"rendered":"JJ Raflik named Executive Director\/CEO at Fond du Lac Family YMCA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Fond du Lac Family YMCA announced\ntoday that JJ Raflik has been officially named as Executive Director\/CEO,\neffective Saturday, March 30, 2019.&nbsp;\nSelected by the Fond du Lac Family YMCA Board of Directors, Raflik, who\nwas serving as acting Executive Director\/CEO, will succeed Greg Giles, who recently\nresigned from his position as Executive Director\/CEO, to&nbsp;accept&nbsp;the position of Chief Advancement Officer for the\nYMCA of Greater Houston.&nbsp;<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe community is very\nfortunate to have a person of JJ\u2019s caliber and integrity prepared to take the Y\nto the next level.&nbsp; JJ is highly\nrespected not only by the Board of Directors, but also by Y employees and\ncommunity members.&nbsp; The board has the\nutmost confidence in JJ to carry on the mission of the Fond du Lac Family YMCA,\u201d\nsaid Mike Hierl, Fond du Lac Family YMCA Board President.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Raflik is in his 17<sup>th<\/sup> year with the Fond du Lac\nFamily YMCA, having advanced through a series of positions with increasing\nresponsibility.&nbsp; Raflik began at the Y in\n2001 in Youth Sports, was promoted to Youth and Family Coordinator in 2004, Youth\nSports Director in 2005, Senior Program Director in 2009, Director of Program\nDevelopment in 2013, Associate Executive Director in 2016, and recently was\nnamed acting Executive Director\/CEO.&nbsp; In\nhis time, Raflik has overseen growth in several areas including programs,\nmembership, and community collaboration efforts.&nbsp; Raflik currently serves on several committees,\nboards and service clubs, some of which include Noon Kiwanis, Girls on the Run,\nand a state-wide YMCA Professional Network Board of Directors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am deeply humbled and honored\nto be entrusted with leading our Y moving forward.&nbsp; We are losing a great community visionary and\nleader in Greg, but we are grateful for the work he has done and the strong\nposition he has put the Y in. &nbsp;We have a tremendous\nstaff, board of directors, and numerous community partners, and they are all large\nreasons for the success of the Y.&nbsp;&nbsp; It is\nbecause of this great support that I am confident the Y will continue to be an\nasset the community can be proud of,\u201d said Raflik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A native of Lomira, Raflik earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, majoring in Recreation Management from Marian College in 2003.&nbsp;
