{"id":501,"date":"2019-02-27T09:37:41","date_gmt":"2019-02-27T15:37:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fdlymca.org\/blog\/?p=501"},"modified":"2024-05-20T12:56:00","modified_gmt":"2024-05-20T17:56:00","slug":"greg-giles-executive-director-ceo-at-the-fond-du-lac-family-ymca-and-community-leader-resigns-to-accept-position-of-chief-advancement-officer-for-the-ymca-of-greater-houston","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fdlymca.org\/blog\/2019\/02\/greg-giles-executive-director-ceo-at-the-fond-du-lac-family-ymca-and-community-leader-resigns-to-accept-position-of-chief-advancement-officer-for-the-ymca-of-greater-houston\/","title":{"rendered":"Greg Giles, Executive Director\/CEO at the Fond du Lac Family YMCA and Community Leader resigns to accept position of Chief Advancement Officer for the YMCA of Greater Houston."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Fond du Lac Family YMCA announced today that Greg Giles has officially resigned from his 16 year post as Executive Director\/CEO, effective March 29, 2019,<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>to&nbsp;accept&nbsp;the position of Chief Advancement Officer for the YMCA of Greater Houston.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his statement Giles said, \u201cMy service\nto the community of Fond du Lac, through the efforts of the YMCA as well as in\na community leader capacity for many other organizations, will forever be the\nmost rewarding time spent during my professional career.&nbsp; The many friends my family and I have met\nwill always be with us, and for that we are truly thankful.\u201d <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Giles has been Executive Director\/CEO at the Fond du Lac Family YMCA for the last<strong> <\/strong>16<strong> <\/strong>years and in that time, through community collaborations, has helped rebuild the Y from a struggling facility serving 4,500 members to a thriving organization of impact that today has over 11,500 members.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Board\nof Directors at the Fond du Lac Family YMCA&nbsp;is currently assessing their\noptions to fill Giles\u2019 position once&nbsp;he has departed. In the interim\nperiod, J.J.
