This support helps the Y\u2019s ability to nurture the potential of every youth and teen, improve the community\u2019s health and well-being and provide opportunities to give back and support neighbors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe thank our members, campaign volunteers, staff, our partners and the community for their contributions,\u201d said Kim Laws, Director of Financial Development at the Fond du Lac Family YMCA. \u201cTheir support helps give us the funds to make sure everyone in our community has access to the resources and opportunities to reach their full potential in a safe, welcoming environment. \u00a0We could not do this alone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Annual Campaign volunteer committee members include Steve Little , Agnesian Healthcare, Campaign Chairperson; Tom Gross, Ahern Gross Plumbing; Lisa Mader, National Exchange Bank; Dan Sprader, Edward Jones; Dominic Weber, Society Insurance; Terry \u201cDavis\u201d Holzmann, Radio Plus Inc.<\/p>\n<p>The Fond du Lac Family YMCA launched the community portion of the campaign on March 7<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0 and received financial gifts from 487 people and area businesses. \u00a0As a result of the campaign, the Y will be able to offer financial assistance to help kids have a safe place to learn and build confidence, and help families reconnect and grow together.\u00a0 The Y will be able to provide people in our community access to chronic disease prevention programs and help individuals of all ages get healthier and stronger.<\/p>\n<p>As one of the leading nonprofits for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Fond du Lac Family YMCA depends on financial gifts to do its vital work so that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has an opportunity to receive the support and guidance to learn, grow and thrive. The Fond du Lac Family YMCA believes that when people have a place to feel welcome, have someone to encourage them, and have opportunities to participate in activities that interest them, they are more likely to identify and achieve their personal goals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Y is about moving us all forward,\u201d Greg Giles, CEO of the Fond du Lac Family\u00a0YMCA said, \u201cand it takes a community that cares to do it. \u00a0We are more than a place for a quick morning workout; we\u2019re on the leading edge of chronic disease prevention. We are more than a place for older adults to get a cup of coffee; we\u2019re a vital social network of support.
