The Fond du Lac Family YMCA aims to improve the communities’ health and well-being by providing programs and activities that promote wellness, reduce risk for disease and help others reclaim their health. These programs and everything else the Y does are in service of making us—our Y and our communities—better. The result is a community that values health and supports healthy choices.
Because we know that healthy lifestyles are achieved through nurturing mind, body and spirit, well-being and fitness at the Y goes beyond just working out. In addition to fitness facilities, we provide educational programs to promote healthier decisions, and offer a variety of programs that support physical, intellectual and spiritual strength.
All food and beverage choices matter. Making healthy food and beverage choices from a variety of foods ensures you will get the nutrients you need. In the September Nutrition Workshop, “My Healthy Plate,” you will learn how to build a healthy eating style. The free workshop will take place on September 17 at 5:30 pm and September 18 at 11:15 am, in the Y Board Room. Space is limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Register here!
Join us for free monthly nutrition workshops, focused on a health topic, offered the 3rd week of each month. Sessions take place on Mondays from 5:30-6:15 pm and on Tuesdays from 11:15 am-12:00 pm. The workshops, in partnership with FreshFit Meals, are free and open to both Y members and the community.
