Join the Fond du Lac Family YMCA for the second annual Agnesian HealthCare Ready, Set, Glow 5K taking place on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Lakeside Park. The event is a nighttime neon 5K walk/run for the entire family. Everyone begins the glow run wearing an event t-shirt and can come dressed in their favorite glow-gear. In addition, participants can stop at the glow swag sponsor booths prior to the start of the walk/run to “get their glow on” collecting glow swag, creating a neon effect as they make their way around the course.
Waves of runners will begin the 5K right before the sun sets, running around a music filled, glowing double loop in Lakeside Park. Additional glow gear will be gathered along the way as participants stop at glow stations on the route, collecting even more neon swag.
The Ready, Set, Glow 5K is a happy, healthy, fun run for the entire family! It is a unique experience focused less on speed and more on crazy fun with family and friends. No matter what your age or athletic ability, the glow run course is sure to be worthwhile. Everyone is encouraged to stick around for the Foam Finale Finish and illuminating post-run celebration.
The Ready, Set, Glow event day features packet pickup, same day registration and glow swag sponsor booths from 6:00-7:45 pm, along with music and fun by Sunny 97.7. The first wave of participants will begin the course at dusk.
Groups of families, friends or training buddies may participate in the event together, and festive and colorful clothing or costumes are encouraged to be worn by participants.
The Y is offering individual or group pricing. Pricing can be found on the event website page at www.fdlymca.org. Registration for the Agnesian HealthCare Ready, Set, Glow 5K is open Tuesday, June 19th through Friday, August 3rd and is in person at the Y or online at www.fdlymca.org. Packet pick-up will occur on Friday, August 10th at the Fond du Lac Family YMCA from 4:00-6:00 pm, as well as the evening of the event from 6:00-7:45 pm at Oven Island in Lakeside Park. All proceeds from the Agnesian HealthCare Ready, Set, Glow 5K benefit the Fond du Lac Family YMCA’s Annual Support Campaign.
