“My Y Week” activities planned at the Fond du Lac Family YMCA beginning April 16th

The Fond du Lac Family YMCA is launching its annual campaign on Saturday, April 14, 2018, with a goal of raising $230,000.  Every dollar donated to the Fond du Lac Family YMCA stays local and has a lasting impact on our community’s health and well-being.  The Y counts on the generosity of our members and community to help people of all ages and from all walks of life, become more healthy, confident, connected and secure.  Membership dues operate our facility while monetary gifts towards the Y’s Annual Campaign changes lives.

The Fond du Lac Family YMCA has a week of activities planned during “My Y Week, taking place Monday, April 16th through Sunday, April 22nd, to raise awareness and funds for the Y’s annual campaign.  Kim Laws, Director of Financial Development at the Y says, “My Y Week is a fun filled week designed to educate our members and the community about the impact the Y makes in people’s lives.  There are lots of fun opportunities to support our Annual Campaign efforts, as well as activities where the Y is able to give back to our members. We invite everyone to take part and enjoy our theme days, by dressing up and joining the fun!” All proceeds from My Y Week activities benefit the YMCA Annual Campaign.

All week long the Y will be holding a Fitness Class Fundraising Challenge, with fitness classes competing to see which class can raise the most funds.  The top fundraising fitness group will earn bragging rights and be recognized on a banner that will be hung in a fitness studio for a year.
