WINTER I & FALL II 

ROOKIES BASKETBALL

Kindergarten - 1st Grade Boys & Girls

In this program, Kids learn the fundamentals of basketball through age appropriate activities and games.  Fun and building self confidence are emphasized in this pre-competitive program.  This program relies on volunteer coaches to help children enjoy the game of basketball.  The YMCA provides all necessary volunteer coaches trainings to make a difference in a child's life.

Saturday............8:30 - 9:15 a.m.
Saturday............9:15 - 10:00 a.m.
Saturday............11:30 a.m. - 12:15 a.m.

 

2nd Grade Boys & Girls

Fun and building self confidence are emphasized in this 4-on-4 league.  Kids learn the fundamentals of basketball through age appropriate activities and games.  This league plays actual games on Saturday mornings.  The score is not kept during the games, however, the kids start to learn all the rules and continue to develop basketball skills while they play the game.  The first 2 weeks of the program, the kids go over the basics of basketball and start to play actual games during week 3.

Saturday............10:00 - 10:45 a.m.
Saturday............10:45 - 11:30 a.m.

 

WINNERS BASKETBALL

3rd & 4th Grade Boys & Girls

This Wednesday / Saturday league uses both regular and modified games.  Kids in Winners Basketball build a solid understanding of the sport through positive, value-based competition.  Winners Basketball gives every kid a chance to play with one practice and one game each week.  The first 2 Wednesdays will be practices with games starting during week 3.

Wednesdays............games begin @ 5:00 p.m.
Saturdays................morning practice times TBD
