Through generous donations to our Annual Campaign, financial assistance is available for YMCA membership and programs when support is needed. The joiner fee is waived for all members who qualify for the Membership for All program.
Programs For All
Any individual or family who qualifies for "Membership for All" financial assistance also receives a 40% discount on qualifying programs.
Eligibility
Any individual or family whose total combined gross household income is less than $80,000 per year is encouraged to apply. Monthly rates are based on total household income. Please refer to the rate grid to determine your qualifying rate.
--Annual income verification is required for all adults (not dependents) in the household.
--All YMCA past balances need to be paid in full in order to renew a membership.
--Applications will be reviewed for eligibility on a 12-month basis.
INCOME VERIFICATION DOCUMENTS
THESE DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED:
- Most recent federal income tax return (1040 or equivalent, not W-2 forms) is required for all adults (not including dependents) in the household.
- Last two pay stubs for all adults (not including dependents) in the household.
IF APPLICABLE:
- If receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or disability benefits, then submit your most recent Social Security Statement.
- FoodShare benefits statement.
- Child support and/or alimony monthly documentation.
- Unemployment monthly compensation statement.
- Pension monthly benefit statement.
- Documentation with names of eligible person(s) for subsidized housing statement.
Verification of residence may be required for all those listed on the membership.
Application Process
APPLY ONLINE
To apply for financial assistance online, complete the ONLINE MEMBERSHIP FOR ALL APPLICATION and upload all income verification documents, as applicable.
After your application is reviewed you will receive an email within 1-3 business days, indicating whether your application was approved or denied. Membership for All approvals require membership enrollment within 30 days of approval or re-application is required.

To apply for financial assistance in person at the Y, download and complete the MEMBERSHIP FOR ALL APPLICATION and return it to the Y during Membership Hours, along with the most current income verification documentation, as applicable. Applications are also available at the Welcome Center desk.
A membership representative will meet with you one-on-one to help you determine your monthly membership rate. Applications will be kept on file for 30 days.
